Last month, OxygenOS 16 went official as OnePlus’ new AI-powered user interface with refined visuals and smoother performance. Since then, the company has been gradually releasing the software update across its devices. So far, the brand has rolled it out to the OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13R, and OnePlus 13s, and it’s now being made available to more OnePlus models.
OxygenOS 16 update released for multiple devices
The stable OxygenOS 16 update, based on Android 16, is now available for the OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12, OnePlus Pad 3, and OnePlus Pad 2 users. These updates are being rolled out according to the OxygenOS 16 roadmap that the company shared last month.
As per the schedule, the OnePlus 12R is also expected to receive the OxygenOS 16 update later this month.
How to install the OxygenOS 16 update
The OxygenOS 16 update should automatically appear as a notification once it’s available for your device. If it doesn’t, users can manually check by navigating to Settings > System & updates > Software update. If available, you can download and install it directly from there.
If the update still doesn’t appear, it means the rollout hasn’t reached your device yet, even if it’s within the roadmap window. Readers should note that the OxygenOS 16 update is released in phases, so it may take some time for all eligible devices to receive it.
OxygenOS 16 rollout schedule
In December, OnePlus is expected to release the OxygenOS 16 update for the OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, and several Nord series devices, including the Nord 5, Nord CE 5, Nord 4, and Nord 3.
In the first quarter of 2026, the OxygenOS 16 update will reach the OnePlus 10 Pro, Nord CE 4, Nord CE 4 Lite, OnePlus Pad, and OnePlus Pad Lite.
