Realme GT 8 Pro with switchable camera bump design is launching this month in India

Realme has officially confirmed the launch date of its highly anticipated Realme GT 8 Pro, set for November 20 in India. The flagship will also make its global debut on the same day. Along with the date, Realme has revealed key design and hardware details that highlight its aim to make the GT 8 Pro a true standout in the flagship segment.

Realme GT 8 Pro: World’s first switchable camera bump design

The Realme GT 8 Pro will be the world’s first phone to sport a switchable camera bump, a unique design feature that allows users to easily customise the appearance of the rear camera module. The removable lens cover is held in place by two small screws, enabling users to swap it for different designs, including round, square, and robot-inspired options.

Realme will offer several first-party camera covers, and users with 3D printing access will even be able to create personalised covers. The robot-style design adds an extra layer of depth with a contrasting colour beneath the lens area, enhancing the phone’s visual appeal and customisation potential.

The device will be available in Diary White and Urban Blue colour options. Diary White features a frosted glass back, while Urban Blue sports a paper-like leather finish crafted from recycled textiles and plastics, complemented by organic dyes and a fine silicone coating. The GT 8 Pro has a metal middle frame, weighs 214 grams, and is rated IP66, IP68, and IP69 for dust and water resistance.

Realme GT 8 Pro specs at a glance

Realme has confirmed that the global variant will share the same specifications as the Chinese model. The GT 8 Pro will be among the first smartphones in India to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It will also feature a 2K AMOLED display with 7,000 nits of peak brightness, Realme UI 7 based on Android 16, and a large 7,000mm² vapour cooling unit for sustained performance.

The phone includes dual speakers, a large haptic motor, and a massive 7,000mAh battery that supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. One of its biggest highlights is the Ricoh-tuned 200MP periscope triple camera system, which promises detailed shots and powerful zoom capabilities.
