Recent reports had suggested that, due to rising memory and chipset costs, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series could see a price increase compared to its predecessor. It was also reported that while the lineup may not receive major design changes, the Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra are expected to bring meaningful hardware upgrades.
These factors fuelled speculation around a higher price tag for the new series. However, a fresh leak from a reliable tipster now claims that Samsung may keep Galaxy S26 pricing unchanged despite the increased component costs.
Samsung Galaxy S26 series could cost the same as the previous generation
According to tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 series will carry the same pricing as the previous generation. While he did not specifically mention any market, it appears that pricing will remain unchanged globally.
To recall, the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra were priced at Rs 80,999, Rs 99,999, and Rs 1,29,999, respectively. The new leak suggests that the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra will arrive with the same pricing.
The tipster reiterated recent reports claiming that the Galaxy S26 series will be announced globally on February 25. The trio is expected to go on sale in March.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8 price tipped
Later this year, in July, the South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil its next-generation foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The same source has also claimed that their pricing will remain unchanged compared to their predecessors.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 was announced with a starting price of Rs 1,74,999 in July last year. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 launched alongside it at Rs 1,09,999. While Samsung also unveiled the entry-level Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE priced at Rs 89,999, it remains unclear whether the company plans to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 8 FE this year.
