Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series globally by late February. After this, the South Korean tech giant is likely to announce its next-generation foldables in July. Last year, the brand unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 SE. While there is no clarity on whether it will announce a Galaxy Z Flip 8 SE, the rumour mill has gradually started leaking information about the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
In a new development, a report by GalaxyClub.nl has revealed the Galaxy Z Flip 8’s camera specifications, and the details are not surprising.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 camera specifications (rumoured)
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8’s rear camera setup will feature a 50MP main camera accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, the device is said to include a 10MP front-facing camera. This means that the eighth-generation flip phone from Samsung will continue to lack a telephoto camera.
There is nothing surprising here, as the same camera configuration was already offered on the Galaxy Z Flip 7. However, there is a possibility that while the MP count remains unchanged, Samsung could use different camera sensors. That said, there is currently no information available regarding the specific sensors.
With no changes expected in the camera department, it is likely that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 may offer upgrades in other areas. It was reported back in November last year that the Z Flip 8 could measure around 6mm when unfolded and 12mm when folded, while weighing approximately 170 grams. This would make it thinner and lighter than the previous generation.
It is also being said that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could be powered by a 2nm Snapdragon chip manufactured by Samsung. However, the exact marketing name of this chipset remains unknown at the moment.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 price (rumoured)
According to an earlier report, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could be priced similarly to the Galaxy Z Flip 7. If this turns out to be true, the device may launch with a starting price of Rs 1,09,999.
