At the ongoing MWC 2026 event, Xiaomi announced several products, including the Xiaomi 17 series and the Pad 8 lineup. Soon after, the company’s Indian wing confirmed that its next-generation flagship phones and tablet will be announced on March 11 in the country. Here’s a look at what to expect from the upcoming flagship offerings.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra has a massive 6.9-inch OLED panel delivering a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it packs a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired charging. Its camera setup comprises a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.2x to 4.3x continuous optical zoom.

Both phones come with common specifications, such as Android 16 with HyperOS 3 on top, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, 50W wireless charging, and a 50MP front camera. The 17 Ultra also has a camera-focused edition dubbed Leitzphone, which will be heading to select markets, but it may not arrive in India.
Xiaomi Pad 8 specifications
The Xiaomi Pad 8 has an 11.2-inch IPS LCD screen offering a 3.2K resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio, along with a 144Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4-powered device packs a 9,200mAh battery with 45W wired charging and 22.5W reverse charging.
The Pad 8 has other features, such as Dolby Atmos-powered quad speakers, an 8MP front camera, a 13MP rear camera, and HyperOS 3-based Android 16. The Pad 8 series also includes a more powerful model called the Pad 8 Pro. Rumours suggest that this device may not be released in the country.

Xiaomi 17, 17 Ultra, Pad 8: Price rumours
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Xiaomi 17 may start at Rs 80,000, whereas the Ultra edition may cost around Rs 1,25,000. This means that these devices will arrive with a price hike, as the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra were priced at Rs 64,999 and Rs 1,09,999, respectively, last year.
There is no information about the Pad 8’s price, but its specifications and recent pricing trends suggest that it could be priced below Rs 40,000.
