Xiaomi has started rolling out the HyperOS 3.0.15.0 update for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and it’s a massive 9.4 GB update that brings quite a few changes and improvements. On the Leica Edition of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, you get an exclusive feature with this update that’s meant to elevate your photography experience.
We are talking about the Leica Instant mode, which enables a 1x tap-to-zoom feature for instant photography. Here’s everything you need to know.
Everything new with the HyperOS 3.0.15.0
The HyperOS 3.0.15.0 update brings several camera improvements. Xiaomi has brought the dual-view mode, which lets you record video simultaneously using both cameras. You also get a new Dolby Vision recording support that boosts brightness and dynamic range for an overall improved video quality.
You also get a standard watermark option for the 200MP mode. The update also enables motion photo functionality by default during video recordings.
The Leica Edition of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra gets a Leica Instant Mode that enables a 1x tap-to-zoom feature. With this, users could be able to conveniently switch between different focal lengths.
Apart from this, there are some system improvements and fixes for minor bugs. It also brings the latest February 2026 security patch that strengthens your device against vulnerabilities.
That’s all new with the HyperOS 3.0.15.0. Since this is an OTA update, you should receive an update notification on your device, depending on the region.
