YouTube has announced its own version of Spotify Wrapped, and it’s similar to its music app’s shareable experience – YouTube Music Recap. Well, YouTube hasn’t worked hard on finding a new name for the video-sharing platform’s shareable experience, and it’s just calling it ‘YouTube Recap’.
As you’d expect, it shows your video interest, top creators you watched, and a lot more. Here’s what it’s all about and how you can check yours right now.
What’s YouTube Recap and how you can check yours?
YouTube Recap shows a recap of your watch history, letting you know your top interests, top channels you watched, and more. Based on your watch interest, it also gives you a title, say ‘The Skill Builder’ since you watched skill-developing content or ‘The Sunshiner’ if you watched content that spreads positivity and good vibes.
Now, to get your YouTube Recap, you simply need to open the YouTube app and follow the steps below.
Step 1: Once you Open YouTube, you should immediately get a pop-up saying YouTube Recap. If you don’t get it, just tap on your profile.
Step 2: Now, you should see the Recap notification just below your profile picture and name. If you don’t see it, just refresh the page by swiping from top to bottom.
Step 3: Tap the Recap notification to continue seeing your YouTube Recap.

That’s how you can easily get your YouTube Recap. YouTube lets you share your Recap on social media, letting you flex your video taste. Interestingly, if you also listen to music in the YouTube app (not YouTube Music), Recap also shows your top artists and channels.
YouTube Recap is pretty cool, and we can’t wait to share ours on social media. What are your thoughts on Recap? Let us know in the comments below.
