Realme has confirmed the Realme 16 Pro series, which brings top-class photography experience at mid-range pricing, will debut on January 6, 2026. The lineup includes two models, the Realme 16 Pro and 16 Pro+. Realme fans are especially excited about the Pro+ edition, as the company skipped the Realme 15 Pro+ model in the previous generation.
Realme 16 Pro series design revealed
The Realme 16 Pro series will be available in four colour options: Master Gold, Master Grey, Camelia Pink, and Orchid Purple. The Master-branded colour variants have been designed by well-known Japanese designer Naoto Fukazawa, who has previously designed flagship Realme models such as the Realme GT 2 series, Realme GT, X2 Pro Master Edition, and X Master Edition.
Realme has also confirmed that the Realme 16 Pro series will be equipped with a 200MP Portrait Master camera powered by its self-developed Luma Color technology. This technology is said to enable natural skin reproduction, improved edge detection for portrait shots, and refined bokeh effects.
Reports suggest that the Realme 16 Pro+ will differentiate itself from the standard 16 Pro by offering a 3.5x periscope telephoto camera. The device is expected to support up to 10x hybrid zoom.
Speaking about the Realme 16 Pro+, it has been confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. With the inclusion of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, it is expected to deliver better performance than other Snapdragon 7 Gen 4-powered phones currently available in the market. With over two weeks remaining until launch, the company is expected to share more details about the 16 Pro series in the coming days.
Other expected products
Apart from the Realme 16 Pro series, Realme will also unveil a budget-friendly 5G tablet and the Realme Buds Air 8 at the January 6 launch event.
