Vivo V70, V70 Elite may launch this month in India

Vivo is currently teasing the arrival of the Vivo X200T in India. Expected to launch by the end of this month, the phone is tipped to arrive with flagship-grade specifications, including top-notch cameras at a relatively affordable price. A new report now suggests that the company may shift its focus to the V70 series after the launch of the X200T.

Vivo V70, V70 Elite launch timeframe

According to a report by SmartPrix, Vivo is expected to announce the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite in India in February. While the report does not reveal specific specifications, it claims that the devices will be a convergence of multiple brands, including Vivo, Zeiss, Sony, and Qualcomm.

It goes without saying that the Vivo V70 series will focus heavily on photography. The lineup is expected to be marketed as a “pocket studio” for mobile photographers. Similar to the X300 series and the upcoming X200T, the V70 lineup is said to run on OriginOS 6. The report further claims that the V70 Elite will feature the highest-performing processor ever seen on a V-series phone.

Recently, the Vivo V70 was reportedly listed on the NBT trade database website. The listing revealed that the phone will feature a 6.517-inch display and will be available in 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB configurations. It is also expected to arrive in multiple colour options, including red, yellow, gold, and black.

Vivo V70 Elite could be rebranded Vivo S50

Last month, Vivo unveiled the Vivo S50 and S50 Pro Mini in China. Speculation suggests that the upcoming Vivo X300 FE for India could be a rebranded version of the S50 Pro Mini. Therefore, it is likely that the Vivo S50 may be rebranded as the Vivo V70 Elite in India.

The Vivo S50 features a 6.59-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and packs a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging.

For photography, it includes a 50MP front camera, while the rear setup consists of a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

Vivo V70, V70 Elite price (rumoured)

As per previous reports, the Vivo V70 is expected to be priced at around Rs 45,000 in India. Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 Elite could carry a price tag of around Rs 50,000.
