Vivo has finally announced the much-awaited Vivo X300 series of flagship phones in India. Like the previous generation, the X300 and X300 Pro are designed to offer a top-notch photography experience along with premium specifications and design. Here’s a look at the specifications, features, price, and availability of both smartphones for the Indian market.
Vivo X300, X300 Pro: Specs and features
Unlike the Vivo X200 from last year, which featured a 6.59-inch display, the X300 is a smaller offering equipped with a 6.31-inch screen. On the other hand, the Vivo X300 Pro continues to feature a large 6.78-inch display. Both phones feature AMOLED LTPO panels offering a crisp 1.5K resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive 4500nits of peak brightness.
One of the major highlights of the X300 and X300 Pro is that these are the first Vivo phones to run on OriginOS 6-based Android 16. Both phones are confirmed to receive five years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
Under the hood, both phones feature MediaTek’s most powerful chip, the Dimensity 9500, along with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The Vivo X300 has a 6,040mAh battery, whereas the Pro version gets a bigger 6,510mAh unit. Both smartphones support 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.
Moving to the optics where these phones excel, the Vivo X300 has a 200MP main camera backed by a custom Samsung sensor. It is joined by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS support.
The Vivo X300 Pro is blessed with an all-new Sony IMX828 50MP sensor for the primary and ultra-wide cameras. The camera setup also includes a 200MP custom Samsung sensor for the periscope telephoto camera, promising a stellar photography experience.
Vivo is also offering the Zeiss Telephoto Extender kit for X300 and X300 Pro users as an optional accessory. With the accessory’s 2.35x teleconverter lens, the Vivo X300 will be capable of achieving 7x optical zoom with a 165mm focal length. Meanwhile, the X300 Pro will support up to 8.8x optical zoom with a 200mm focal length.
Both devices have an autofocus-enabled 50MP camera on the front. When it comes to durability, both phones feature a metal middle frame and an IP68/69-rated dust- and water-resistant chassis. Other exciting features of the X300 series include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, an Action button (only on Pro), and an IR blaster.
Vivo X300, X300 Pro: Price and availability
The Vivo X300 has arrived in India in three options, such as 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB and 16GB+512GB. These variants are priced at Rs 75,999, Rs 81,999, and Rs 85,999, respectively. It can be bought in shades like Elite Black, Mist Blue, and Summit Red, which is an India-exclusive colour.
On the other hand, the Vivo X300 Pro comes in a sole 16GB+512GB trim, which is priced at Rs 1,09,999. The Zeiss Telephoto Extender kit for both phones is priced at Rs 18,999. It comes in colours like Dune Brown and Elite Black.
The X300 series is up for pre-booking starting today. Both phones are scheduled to go on sale on December 10.
