Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 18 series of smartphones in September this year in China. Recent reports have revealed that the entire lineup will have a 200MP camera, with Pro models even speculated to house a pair of 200MP cameras.
Now, in a new leak, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has seemingly revealed key details of what appears to be the Xiaomi 18 Pro.
Xiaomi 18 Pro’s key details tipped
The new leak suggests that the Xiaomi 18 Pro’s current engineering prototype has a battery sized around 7,000mAh despite having a compact form factor. It further states that the 18 Pro could be the only phone in its segment to have dual 200MP cameras.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro’s rear camera setup is tipped to feature a 200MP main camera backed by a large sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, which will probably be joined by a 50MP ultra-wide lens. Other features mentioned in the leak include an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, fast wireless charging, and a fully water-resistant chassis.
While DCS has not mentioned it in the leak, Xiaomi is most likely to retain the secondary display that was introduced on the Xiaomi 18 Pro. A previous report claimed that the rear screen will become more versatile than before.
As per other reports, the Xiaomi 18 Pro, being a compact model, may house a 6.4-inch display. Under the hood, it could be equipped with the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip.
Xiaomi 18 series launch timeframe (expected)
Xiaomi hasn’t been launching its Pro-branded flagships in markets outside of China. Therefore, it is likely that the Xiaomi 18 Pro and its larger sibling, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, may remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
While the Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, and 18 Pro Max are expected to launch in September in China, the more powerful Xiaomi 18 Ultra may debut by December. Globally, the company may only unveil the Xiaomi 18 and 18 Ultra in Q1 2026.
