Apple’s March 4 special event confirmed: Here are 4 expected announcements

After weeks of speculation, Apple has finally confirmed that it will hold its first event on March 4. Scheduled to kick off at 9 AM ET (7:30 PM IST), the event is expected to see the arrival of multiple products, but the brand has not disclosed any information on which devices will be announced.

Since the event is dubbed a “special Apple experience” across regions like New York, London and Shanghai, it remains unclear whether it will be a proper launch event or if it will simply announce the arrival of new products through press releases. Here’s a look at the devices expected to go official on March 4.

Budget E series iPhone

Among the expected products is Apple’s next entry-level phone, which is anticipated to bring a couple of improvements, such as a notch-less 6.1-inch display with an 18MP selfie camera, an Apple A19 chip, MagSafe wireless charging support, and a C1X 5G modem for faster connectivity. However, its pricing may remain unchanged, suggesting it could cost around Rs 60,000 in India.

The device may ship with 8GB of RAM and an N1 chip, which will bring support for Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi 7. For stable cellular connectivity, it may include the C1X modem.

Entry-level MacBook

Rumours suggest that Apple is working on a MacBook powered by the Apple A18 Pro processor, positioned as a low-cost offering. Its screen size could be 12.9 inches, and it may feature a premium aluminium build.

Speaking of design, the affordable MacBook may come in multiple shades, such as light yellow, green, blue, pink, silver and dark grey. This device could cost around Rs 90,000 in India, making it the most affordable MacBook in the current lineup.

MacBook Pro

The MacBook Pro has already been available in an M5 chip version since October. This time, the brand is expected to announce the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips alongside new MacBook Pro models featuring these updated processors. Apart from the inclusion of the new chips, the refreshed models may not offer any other significant changes.
