After weeks of speculation, OnePlus has finally announced the OnePlus 15R alongside the OnePlus Pad Go 2 5G and the OnePlus Watch Lite. OnePlus 15R: Specs and features
The OnePlus 15R houses a large 6.83-inch OLED display with support for a 1.5K resolution. As a gaming-focused device, the screen supports a 165Hz refresh rate and 10-bit colours. For security, it features an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, which is faster and more accurate than conventional optical fingerprint readers.
The OnePlus 15R is one of the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, delivering top-tier performance for both everyday usage and gaming. To ensure smooth multitasking, the device is equipped with LPDDR5x Ultra RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and a massive 7,400mAh battery. It supports 80W fast charging but does not offer wireless charging.
On the camera front, the OnePlus 15R features a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary camera with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The device also comes with the DetailMax Engine for enhanced post-processing. For selfies and video calls, it houses a 32MP front-facing camera.
The OnePlus 15R is promised four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. It ships with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 and introduces the Mind Space feature, accessible via the dedicated Plus Key hardware button. Additional features include an X-axis linear motor, dual speakers, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, an IR blaster, a USB-C port, and an IP68/69-rated dust-resistant and waterproof body.
OnePlus 15R: Price and availability
The OnePlus 15R has launched in India in two configurations: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. Scheduled to go on sale from December 22, the variants are priced at Rs 47,999 and Rs 52,999, respectively. Buyers can take advantage of Rs 3,000 bank discount or exchange bonus and up to 6 months on no-cost EMI.
Buyers can choose from three colour options, such as Charcoal Black, Mint Breeze, and Electric Purple, with the latter featuring unique “Ace” branding on the rear panel.
