New OnePlus Nord series teased, early April launch tipped

Update: OnePlus has officially started teasing its next Nord series through its X handle in India. While its landing page has also gone live on its official website, it is yet to confirm the moniker. These developments suggest that the arrival of the alleged Nord 6 series may not be far away.

Original story follows…

OnePlus is reportedly working on the Nord 6 series for the Indian market. A new leak by tipster Yogesh Brar has revealed the Nord 6 launch timeframe. At the same time, a new OnePlus device that’s believed to be the Nord CE 6 has received approval from the BIS authority, indicating that it could also be heading to India soon.

OnePlus Nord 6, Nord CE 6 expected to launch soon

Back in January, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V in China. Rumours are rife that these devices may get rebranded as the Nord 6 and Nord 6V in India and other markets.

According to the tipster mentioned above, the Nord 6 will debut in India in early April. He added that it will have the same specs as the Turbo 6 but will carry an increased price, probably because of rising memory costs.

In a recent development, a new OnePlus phone with model number CPH2805 has been approved by India’s BIS. To recall, the device surfaced in a live shot earlier this year along with a few of its specs. The leaked specifications suggested that it could be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Turbo 6V.

Since the specs of the phone are somewhat similar to the Turbo 6, it is likely that it may debut as a Nord 6 series phone globally. It remains to be seen whether it will be called the Nord 6 CE or Nord 6V or something else.

The OnePlus Nord 6 and Nord 6 CE are expected to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen offering a 1.5K resolution. While the Nord 6 may offer a 165Hz refresh rate, the CE variant may support a 144Hz refresh rate. Both devices are likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and 7s Gen 4 chipsets, respectively.

The Nord 6 series may come with other common specs, such as LPDDR5x RAM, UFS 3.1 (Nord CE 6) / UFS 4.1 (Nord 6), a 9,000mAh battery with 100W charging, a 16MP front camera, and a 50MP+2MP dual-camera setup. The phones are expected to run Android 16 with OxygenOS 16.

Other features available on both phones include an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, a USB-C port, and an IP68/69-rated body.
